Continuing with my promotional imagery series, here is my 3d interpretation of the Tubac House by American architect Rick Joy. Modeled with microstation and max and rendered with vray. Ive managed to streamline my render settings with this one, and i've got the render time down to under 15 minutes for a 1200 pixel image. The main reason i'm quite happy with this one is that there was no need for any post work in photoshop
Wow, talk about rendering to perfection, no detail was left out. My favorite part is the reflection of the corten steel in the shadows. Did you make a specular map for that? My only critique of the image is the closeness of the form ties to the top and bottom edges of the formwork. I haven't seen the actual wall, so I could be wrong, but it does look a bit too close to me. Great work!
down to 15 min?? OK, the quality isnt the best, but also isnt the worst. You must then have a hell of a machine And im suprised that the image didnt need any postproduction! Great work!
The render is perfect, I agree with about the reflection of the corten, it gives a very realistic feeling to the image. Can you make a night render of this ?

Yes, very nice. I think you should hook up with Evermotion guys. They look for 3dartist that are able to create nice exteriors/interiors without any post work for their archinteriors/exteriors series.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
